Martha Udom Commiserates With Prelate Sunday Mbang Over Wife’s Death

Wife of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel has condoled with the Prelate Emeritus of Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence Dr. Sunday Mbang over the death of his wife, Barr. (Mrs.) Imaobong Mbang.

In her message of condolence during her visit to the bereaved family in Eket, Mrs Martha noted that the deceased was a devout and lovable Christian who lived according to the teachings of her faith.

Mrs Martha said though her departure is painful to those who came in contact with her, as a believer she was sure of the fact that she has only transited to eternal glory.

Mrs. Emmanuel while praying God to strengthen the deceased husband and family with the valour to bear the irreplaceable loss, she also encouraged them to remain united even in their moment of grief.

In response, the deceased husband, Prelate Emeritus, His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Mbang, thanked Mrs. Emmanuel for her show of love, stating that he is joyfully overwhelmed by her visit and care during his moment of grief.

Special prayers were offered for the governor and wife and the entire members of the State Executive Council by the retired cleric .

The remains of the late Barr. (Mrs) Imabong Mbang who died at the age of 70 years will be laid to rest on Saturday, April, 27 after a funeral service to be conducted by the Methodist Church of Nigeria.
